I lose everything
I came back to play this game after a few months and when I reopened the game I lost all characters and character data。 Thanks to the team at Icrus for making me lose 268.2 hours of effort。

MI had the same issue, they did a data migration end of last year.

I got all my progress and characters back. If you dont feel comfy to do this, wait for the next update, pretty sure this is n°1 topic on their list. -

Falk P.I had over 300 hours of play and after a long break my old saves were gone and I'm forced to start all over again which I don't feel like doing. Please enable access to older saves - thanks!

Back in December, Icarus changed where it stores your game data. We migrated from a central server to storing your game data on your local PC. You can read more about this in our Week 53 update: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1149460/view/3611354355089820956
For the three months after this change, everyone loading the game had their data automatically migrated and downloaded locally. In March the central servers were closed and we no longer store your game or character data. Unfortunately we can't restore it for you.
However, some community members have been sharing instructions for altering your game files in order to build your characters up a bit quicker in our discord: https://discord.gg/surviveicarus . I've attached a screenshot with that.
