[Bug] Steam achievement for tracking bow kills

I have been power leveling in the first map by killing snow wolves and normal wolves with only a bow and bone arrows and im at 2060 kills on the snow wolves and like 100 normal wolves in the forest and i look at the 10k steam achievement and its at 1.4k tracked with bows... very annoying for people who want the achievement im sure its broken for guns aswell and the melee one. (and yes im aware skinning does count as a kill for some weird reason on the beastiary tracker) but still its for sure not counting accurately.

further investigated and it appears to be off buy 745 when i add up all the other kills that i know i didint skin like deer and such. 100% its tracking incorrectly Thanks for looking into it.
