[Bug] Lost open world save and OES issues

I was unable to use the OES to send down my newly crafted envirosuit so I returned to station to redeploy with it. When I attempted to return to my open world it was gone. No save game to load/resume/return to. I was under the impression open worlds persist no matter what and the fact several days of progress is now gone is incredibly frustrating.
