[Suggestion] Fletched arrows / Birds
It would be great to see some more variety in terms of animals. Birds are my go to suggestion as they would add great ambience. Needing feathers for higher tier arrows could also work well. Maybe vultures that circle over rotting animal corpses.
Additionally snow bunnies (Snow Raccoons hehe). - Venomous Snakes, Bees, Bats in caves... Just some suggestions that may bring more variety and make the world feel a bit more diverse. Can open ideas for more recipes as well. Imagine Cinnamon Buns with honey glaze as a late-game food item. (Boars = Pork Roast hmmm)
In terms of foliage, it would be cool to see poison ivy or bramble thickets that make traversing the terrain a bit more varied. (Mud, Snowdrifts, Quicksand also as options).
I'm excited for the next Beta weekend! :D

You can already hear a lot of birds and other avian sounding things in the game, but never see any of them, so I think they might have had this planned from the start. -

SteveThe Forest had a fun collection mechanic of catching feathers that launched into the air when downing a bird, which fits in well here with the other satisfying collection activities (wood chopping, ore mining). Also agree that feathers could be an additional resource requirement for higher tier arrows.

CalebI couldn't agree more with this suggestion, I think that adding more animals and allowing for further crafting with them would be a really cool addition to the game, I would personally love to see this added. Maybe add different types of birds for different arrows/bolts/blow darts. Example being, have pheasants for blow darts and then a larger bird for regular arrows. It would also be very interesting to see the cooking recipes explored as you explained.

There are Keas on Styx + Kiwis on Olympus and Styx.
The arrow recipes are fine in my opinion (going more of the arrowhead material, while the feathers will just clutter the inventory with +1 item type).
There are tons of food recipes.
And we have bramble on Prometheus and as a cultivated plant.
