[Bug] Geo Survey Mission Transmitter

I am not 100% sure this is a bug, but if it isn't I think it should react differently. I got kicked the moment I hit 100% with the transmitter and had to go back to 0%. I just didn't realize until I had a bear and another swarm of wolves and not enough arrows for them. Now the transmitter was destroyed and there are no replacements in the supply crate.
1) If this is a bug, it is not respawning to allow me to complete this mission. 2) If this is a purposeful mission limitation, it has poorly communicated itself as such. Instead, in a situation where the mission objectives are no longer possible, I should get a fail dialogue/message so I know not to waste my time and return to the drop pod.
