To the op's point, at least some predators (wolves, big cats, hyenas) should be.

Anecdote: When dribos first came out I was unaware of their debute. I was playing a map on peer to peer. I was alone. I basically got a shock seeing one at night for the first time. I called up my friend on discord who logged in, none to be found that day. Night rolled around and sure enough it was back. Hilariously at the time, for about an hour, we thought this new alien creature only came out at night. Made us marvel and reworked how we considered darkness. At least for a short moment until we saw them during the day.

Now thats just a curious pack of innocent little dribbos, imagine something a bit more menacing. Still we rapidly changed our behavior and how we looked at the game in that moment.

Absolutely feel we need something to remind prospectors we dont own Icarus. Lately we have been getting way too comfortable.
I am really happy to see this titled as " in progress. " Thumbs up. We need a few shocks to shake things up.

How about we expand on this and actually change the AI behavior of the predators to actually attack other things besides "just" the players. Why do I never see wolves chasing down a deer or a Crocodile attacking a Komodo that is invading its territory?
