Playing this quest solo mode not connect to server, after using the drill on the first wall and the worms appearing, i die and after no more worms or drill tool , can't go through the second wall without it.

add at my post, i find the drill in water, with no trace of the worms (cool) , after drilling the second wall , others worms appear as usual (had run this quest before with another toon in connected mode) and it was possible to finished the quest. Then it's fine. Where are the first worms????

Electric cable disappeared during the mission, so impossible to connect drill and solar panel (maybe gone trough the map)

If you drop the Wire for the drill, it disappears, and you cannot complete the mission. If it didnt disappear, you cant locate it.

I'm at the end of this step & I don't have any cable to link the solar panel to the drill and I'm nowhere near Tier 4 to be able to do it myself, checked in my first base in case I would had forgotten it there, and i can confirm i never got it.

I clearly remember only getting the G slot & another item which was the solar panel.
Quite sad as I was looking forward to go to the desert and level up :'(

I completed the expedition right as I died from poison. When I respawned the drill was gone and the wall had been drilled through. Their was no way to proceed I tried remove from expedition and that didnt work either. Eventually ran back to ship and the expedition was marked incomplete.

Hi, After I completed the prospect and went back to space station, I didn't have the 125 credits and when I go to the "Mail" page I see "End prospect notification" messages but when I click on them nothing happens and when I click on "Show prospect info" nothing happens either.
The game did register that I completed the prospect because now I have access to the "Death Ray: Scan" prospect.
I did a "File integrity check" in Steam and still have that problem.
Losing that 125 credits is enough for me to lose interest and never play the game again.

When doing the Dry Run, I go into the cave to drill through to the desert and I get to the wall in the water towards the bottom of the cave. I can’t power the solar panel and cable won’t make it to the entrance where the sun is. In reading the Steam forum, other players say there should have been another wall to drill through first, but it is bugged. Some say they had to completely restart the mission for it to work correctly.

Also, there are desert animals in the forest biome when I haven’t drilled anything yet…zebras, elephants, cougars are all around the entrance to the cave. How can this be if the cave is walled off?

this mission is totally broken, i have done it 4 times now everytime a bug occurs that the first wall isn't there and you cant proceed. your bug is similar. all bugs seem to revolve around the end of the mission. they don't seem to care to much about fixing it. many hot fixes have happened since i first read about the bug, still no fix or even acknowledgement that its even broken... ive stopped playin since the last time i ran that mission because i dont want to try another mission and run into the same game breakin bugs.

I placed down the solar panel and went to place the drill. When I came back to connect the solar panel with the wires the panel seemed to disappear. I couldn't find it anywhere in my inventory and went back to the crate to see if it spawned back there with no luck. Had to restart the entire mission.

In this mission the solar panel stops working. I am drilling the second wall the sun goes down and the drilling stops. I slept to fast forward to the next day. i wait for the sunlight to power the solar panel and nothing happens. I tried moving the solar panel and the game crashed to desktop. i reload the game and move the solar panel, place on the ground connect a wire to it and nothing happens.

After combing through the bug reports there appear to be many different bugs associated with this quest. This is the only quest I have left to do at this stage and am unable to unlock further quests. In other words I can no longer play Icarus until this mission is fixed. I have to shelve the game and wait for the developers to fix this quest.....

As title, the electricity tool which _was_ in a storage (crafting bench storage, to be precise) is no longer present after leaving and resuming the prospect.

same, all collected equipments disappeared after resuming the prospect. They were in a wooden box, that box disappeared with all the contents. I removed the floor (stone) nothing below. All other crafted elements in the house were present. I went back to one of the containers, hoping it will contained the original equipemnt, but nothing.

I have a similar yet different issue. I have power to the drill, but nothing happens. It's stuck at 3% complete and 4-5 in-game days have passed.

First of all, there are clearly a lot of people having issues here. I reviewed all the other suggestions, and nothing seems to exactly fit the issue I have.

Note: I had issues getting through the first wall, and in particular when nothing was happening I encountered a bug where when I removed the drill and replaced it, the game crash. I noted this extensively on the Steam forums here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1149460/discuss

Somehow the game resolved itself after a crash, and the first wall was gone, and the drill back in my inventory. So I pushed onto the second wall, and nothing's happening.

First, note that the drill is running and the solar power is providing it with power. However, after 5+ in-game days, it's stuck at 3% complete. It's not getting through the second wall.

I've tried moving the solar panel, removing and replacing the drill, and nothing happens. I think the mission is borked. And I only have two days to complete the mission. I suspect I'll have to

I found it to do with the light and solar pannels and has a window then they work best. So there times that not enough electricitity to run the maschine so it does work the mission

I had issues with this mission as well when I was playing with my brother, what the solution was for us, was to reconnect the electricity tool from the solar panel towards the drill, and not let it go through any wall, also the sun starts to hit the Solar Panel from around 10 am - 11 am.

it looked like the electricity tool wasn't correctly connected at 1 or multiple points after the first wall was destroyed.

also I found it very annoying and confusing that the connection to the drill wasn't to the drill itself, but to the wall where it was drilling through.

No doubt you’ve seen several posts about this quest not working properly – despite the drill being hooked up and the sun shining (green light) it will not run. I repeated the mission to try a second time and had the same results, logged out inside the cave, and on my return found I had lost an entire set of nano armor and my space made knife. I didn’t die so there was no package to pick up. It will take me several missions just to earn the credits to recraft the armor and knife. VERY frustrating to see this mission with so many bugs.

Similar experience: drill is on the wall and powered, but the quest indicator that should light up when the drill is in place is not activated.
Tried
1. Removing and replacing the drill
2. Re-wiring the drill.
I've been drilling into the first wall for 2 in-game days.

Same issue here with the first wall. Drill itself is running but nothing is doing anything to progress the game or break through the wall.

Saw in the recent patch notes this mission was worked on so tried it again. Drill ran this time but after watching it for 30 hours to get two full sun cycles it never drilled through. Gave up, ran back to the drop ship and returned to space - to again find ALL my gear and tools were gone from the workshop builds. All 11 of my workshop items gone, even though I never died, and returned to space with them all on my hotbar or wearing the armor. How can you take my items like that? It's hard to keep interest when you're just repeating missions to recraft items you should never have lost in the first place.

After collecting the items from the first 2 objective crates I have the objective to locate the cave but there is not marker on my map of where the cave would be. I have gone to the cave after looking up it's location from a walkthrough and went inside and tried to set up drill but it would not let me because the objective locate the cave had not updated. I tried it twice on one character and another time with different character and same results.

There are two entrances to the cave in the Conifer biome (they're basically right next to each other). Have you tried going in through both entrances? Wonder if it's only registering on one entrance.

Thank you. Yes just tried this now. Going to the 2nd entrance progressed the objective. The cave marker location still did not show up though.

Drill completes 100% and the wall remains. A user on Discord suggests the game is creating multiple walls. This fits my observation. The original drop ships were duplicated as well. I did not complete this mission in one session. I believe the duplication occurred when I logged back in. I was able to ramp over the first wall through a hole in the upper left side. The second wall had the same issue. I attached a screen shot of those mission stages completed and the wall still blocking.
