[Suggestion] Crafting tables access materials from nearby storage

Crafting tables should be able to pull materials from nearby storage/other crafting tables, minimising the time spent tediously moving resources from one station to another.

More of a quality of life ask - having the ability to access personal crafting inventory while in other crafting tables will be very helpful in streamlining some of the "grindy" functions of the game. I love the idea the crafting tables can pull from your inventory to make an item. Making the on-person crafting page available while in a chest/crafting table would also allow those items to be crafted by pulling mats from the chest/table to your inventory to craft the item. Being able to do this will help us spend less time in inventories and more time enjoying the game.

Not so sure that would be so good.

I put things in places for reasons.
Would not like it if i later can't craft something, becuase resorce X is no longer in that bench, as it got used for semething else on another.

It would at least need some information where it takes stuff from, and how much you have.

So we have kitchen storage that connect to the stove, it would be nice if we could cook on the stove with the ingredients without having to move them. And maybe even be able to snap storage cabinets to other crafting benches and have them link so we can craft directly from storage without the extra step of moving the ingredients. Seen it work with other games and it would be a huge QOL improvement . Just a thought.

Add the ability to Hot Deposit where you can hold a button on a crate or bench and it will auto-deposit anything in your inventory that is already in the storage (e.g. all your ores in inventory deposit to the smelter without having to open it and shift+click each ore type). Also, add the ability to pull from nearby storage areas when crafting so you're not stuck finding where your resources are located. This is a feature that is implemented in the game Grounded and is an extremely helpful QoL to reduce time wasted with base organization and finding materials.

i would not like this as then i could accidentally craft something with materials i actually need for something else and have no way of knowing.

A major QOL that makes all crafting based games less of a headache. (Starbound, Terraria, Tribes of Midgard, etc.) Just a simple button to sort inventory to nearby chest (could be owner creator only toggle) and crafting benches pull from chest. To balance the game, could have a small AOE essentially you have to stand in your chest room OR use a Space Engineer style where you got to connect wire/tube to nearby crafting benches.

Why can we have a smart chest when you put an item in a chest your crafting station know is in there and pull it out from all relevant chest in an area... Like In Grounded. Reducing the search for item to build something,

Yes please consider adding this QoL. Around tier 3 it starts to be tedious to move around resources and collect them from various tables/containers just to bring them to other table. Maybe via a talent that will make newly crafted containers have ability to share content to nearby stations or some higher tier chests should have this ability, or maybe a new kind of container.

It's very nice feature and seems to be starting to be more popular as a baseline implementation and not only via mod/plugin.

Would love something like that. Could implement as special storage items that have this function to give players the choice if they want crafting bench access to the stored items or not.
