Lantern sound bug

So my friends and I got to the stage in an open world where we made the Lantern, not the Biofuel Lamp, and when you equip it in your L slot it makes a beautiful warm bright glow. Problem is that whenever you turn it on it is silent and when you turn it off it makes a whooshing sound. Now I'm fine with the whooshing sound but Lantern is off most of the time so this gets annoying. Any way to fix it so it makes the sound when it's lit and silent when it's off? Currently the only way to stop the sound is to turn off the Lantern then un-equip it and put it back on.
