[Suggestion] Automatic Door Closing
Loving the game so far but I was wondering if we could get automatic door closers. Maybe something like a 5 second timer or an adjustable timer. Opening and then having to stop every time you go through a door gets a tad annoying.

Azulart MergedI feel like the option of an automatic door should be available for a higher tier door. Also possibly bring the door durability more inline with the descriptions? The Reinforced steel door is 500 durability compared to the "delicate glass door" with a 1250 durability.

JB MergedCan we please have an auto shut option for the doors. We spend so much time scurrying about collecting various resources and micro managing our base, that we can easily forget to close a door behind us. This can lead to disastrous consequences, such as losing a power generator, which has happened in my case, twice. A simple auto shut option can save players the grief and annoyance of having to spend countless hours crafting these expensive items, only to lose them because of a bit of bad weather.

Castellano MergedIntroduce a craftable device that can be placed near doors to automatically open them when players approach. This would enhance the gameplay by allowing seamless entry and exit from structures without needing to interact with the doors manually. Perfect for improving efficiency during intense moments or when carrying resources. It could require electricity or another resource to craft, fitting into the existing tech system.

Adran Nailo Mergedthere should be some sort of automatic doors, or at least let us open doors from the back of our mounts. I have a stable that has actual doors, so that my horse will not be attacked by a passing wolf, just because it has line of sight, and as such, anytime that I want to put my horse back in the stable, I have to hop off of my horse, open the door, and then hop off of the horse, go through the door, hop off the horse *again*, and then ride the horse to where I keep it. This is a large annoyance to me, and over a multiple hour session, the time that I waste off of my horse opening and closing doors adds up.

LianailVictorian England had elegant door closers with a simple string, stand-off bracket and sculpted iron weight. That's very low tech. I've seen frontier cabins with the same thing made of wood and a bucket of rocks at an even lower tech.
The basic should be available on the plain workbench with 1 rope, 1 wood, 2 stone. A Carved Wood variant should be available on the carpentry bench.
For game-play purposes, give it a 2-3 second delay to get out of the door (since we can't hold the door) or change the door so we can through it after the "open" action.
