Consumable stack sizes not consistent

I noticed that certain consumables, like vegetables/fruits stack nicely in raw form but once cooked only stack to 10 instead of the regular stack size for the raw version. It does not make sense that cooking something would affect the stack size, as you are using them 1:1 and they technically are not really changing, just being cooked. To me, it would make better sense if a raw thing stacks to 50, the cooked version should as well.
