[Suggestion] Add distance to marker on compass

Playing in a small team, when we choose to go somewhere, we mark the location on the map.
"OK, everyone to the blue marker"
On the way, we are constantly having to pull up the map to see how close we are.

It would be great if the marker on the compass at the top of the screen showed distance to the marker. I know this can be done if the team has the time.

Why does't the player tracker add a compass marker for the other players. The module currently doesn't do anything new since it is on the map and I wouldn't want it to come off the map. Make the module add to the compass bar so you can track teammates easier

Add a distance meter in compass not only a marker, when I will mark the place on the map where i moving, and the marker where its my friends and what is the distance to them.

Add a flashlight worn on your head to techtree, because there is an eternal problem to do something at night and cave.

Hi!! I've been a fan of the game since the beginning of the beta, something I would like to see added is a distance marker, making it easier to know how far I am from my goal.

I would love to have a distance from player attached to the placeable map marker! Knowing how far away something is, other than using the designation of "3 grid squares" would be very helpful. Especially since the angle through a grid square effects distance of measurement.

This would probably also require a game setting of preference by Yards or Meters, just as temperature is in Fahrenheit or Celsius (A.K.A. units that have put people on the Moon, and units that haven't).

Yes I completely agree with this! I've been playing Icarus since it came out, have logged over 500 hours... and I still LOVE it.

One thing I really WISH there was is some kind of display that lets you know how close you are to a dropped pin. Perhaps just below the marker in the HUD? Something to give you an idea of how close you are without having to constantly check the map.

I want to see a number up there that shows how far you are from it and it decreases as you walk towards it. I have read that they are going to allow us to put custom markers on the map, different colors. So in order to do what you want to do, which I think is a great idea personally, you would have to be able to select which color dropped pin you are following . maybe on the map itself, off to the side, you could have a list of your custom dropped pins and be able to select which one you’re going to, sort of like seven days to die...

Love the game guys, absoloutly stunning. Such a pleasure to play. One little thing that would help me and my friends a lot is to show where they are on the compass. Every time they say im over here then we have to click the map to see where "here" is. A marker on the compass would be amazing. Great game love it, steam recommndation incoming soon. 10/10 :).

Would like to see permanent visible color-coded name tags of players and their arrows on the compass with their color in their direction. Also, maybe a marker on your compass that shows your bed roll once placed. Great game, Maybe add multiplayer? Thank you!

I would like to have the capability of adding custom markers on the map
So that I can track my own objectives in the map

Acceptance criteria:
- Markers are visible only to their creator even playing co-op
- Markers are to be selected from a defined list of icons presented in the MAP Screen UI
- Markers can be added up to 500 in a single Prospect

Nice to have:
- Markers have a text field that add a title to them
- Markers' titles are only visible when hovering the mouse over them

After some research, it seems as though this item is completely replaceable by the default map/waypoints we can already set. • Could have this item give players the ability to see more potentially useful info about waypoints i.e. distance to blue ping. distance to player 2. • Could add additional markers to the map through a right-click menu like a house icon for better tracking where your base is, cave icon waypoints, resource nodes (vapor nodes/deep mining/exotics), POI's. • Show ally info (HP, carry weight, stamina, debuffs, buffs) • Minimap? or just disable the item/remove from workshop since these changes could be good for the default map Side note but somewhat relevant, what is the distance that "nearby players" are affected by certain talents/items i.e. Healing Boost Module/Strength boost module.
