[Suggestion] Why do we need 5 pieces of armor?
Why do we need or why would we want to have 5 pieces of armor to manage? We cannot see any benefits to mix/match armor pieces between sets because we lose the set bonus. When we take damage, it appears to damage all armor pieces simultaneously. For example, taking hard fall damage will not just damage the legs or damage the legs more than other armor pieces. It is also a pain to manage armor in our inventory because they all look very similar. May we please combine the 5 pieces of armor into 1 piece, similar to the environment suit... or, make some benefits to needing 5 different armor pieces to manage.

In early game you only can afford to build up your armor piece by piece and there are the 5 slots for mods as benefits
So it makes sense like it is.
I think most of the people like it as it is now.
Maybe this can be put on DONE. -

BrianI think you are missing the major advantage of Mods. The modification bench is very worth it and I love the customization of each piece(air filter for helmet, faster sprint for shoes etc.) My only thing is I wish you could add mods or pay to add mod slots to the dropship armor. Also visual color mods would be good to help distinguish yourself from others on server.

RyanI like the build up of individual pieces, but maybe you can have them link in your inventory and display as taking up one slot once you have all the pieces and when you drag it to the wearing slot(s) they fill the individual slots. Then improve the damage to be piece specific depending on source of damage. The primary benefit to this is I rarely carry a separate set for different biomes or other reasons. The benefits are not high enough for it to matter with the exception of fur armor early on. I would like to carry an extra set with me, but not worth taking up 5 slots. An alternative is to have a special extra slot(s) on your mount for another set of armor.

NebEasy solution, get rid of the stupid set bonus and divide it amongst the armor pieces. That way mix and match is a thing.

Kelly MergedArmor should have its own slot in loadout like envirosuit. That frees you up for tools. Yes the board solves this, but if running and gunning missions you shouldn't have to stop and mine and forge to get it.
