[Bug] Mining scoria and clay, chunks fall and irretrievable

  With scoria still the same, after 3 months nothing improved.
  You only can get about every second piece.
  It's everywhere.

  I have also experienced this on almost any node of each type. If you are not fast enough the chunks will fall and clip in to the grey stone base that the materials are in and you can not pick them up it just shows you a pick axe icon on the grey stone. Frustrating given the time and amount given sometimes. They've also been known to go flying far but I think I've seen that posted somewhere as well. I experienced this in scoria, clay, and obsidian.

  I had a similar issue - I accidentally dropped my hammer near the clay node, it fell under the grey stone and I couldn't pick it up. Any items dropped near the clay node clip under the ground.

  Note that this is also the case for the deep mining ore deposits. Items clip through the deposit and you can't access them. It's especially annoying with the inaccessible electric junction nodes.

  Happends every time when clay chunk is in contact with ground. Only solution is to pick it up super fast before it starts to fall.

  And, of course, clay. I like having to pick them up, but losing them is annoying. Maybe just don't allow them to clip through the rock mesh around it (meant to resemble the impact site).
  
  As a temporary workaround, if I spam or time hitting F while focused on the piece that is about to break off, I am almost always able to pick it up before it has a chance to roll below the surface.
