[Suggestion] Paint/Visual Mask for building pieces - Stone/Concrete looking like Wood/Thatch, etc
I love the way some of my stone and wood buildings look, but wood isn't feasible for storms and even stone wears out. Aluminum doesn't seem much better than stone, and concrete looks... like horrible brutalist architecture. It's not a big thing, but I tend to get nit-picky in my construction projects and would love to be able to mix and match without stressing about storms or having to stay in the shallow end of the pond.
What about a way to make things like concrete look like something else? A sort of paint tool, or a sort of paint recipe with each construction type? Example, you can make Thatch, you want to build a cabana, but where it's at you'd rather it be stone-strong. The Thatch building has a new recipe for like, an applique you can build using some of the same ingredients and slap on. The hammer still shows the right material and hit points, but just visually looks like the other type.
Extra incentive; more deco pack options with that!

Adding painting or texture visuals for builds could add more visual appeal and instead of having to stare at your white floor when you want a wood floor outside but because of storms you need to repair it once and a while. Add painting or texture visuals can allow players to have more creativity in their builds and give it more detail and style. For textures you could just change the texture of the floor or wall while still keeping the original stats of the actual material. Painting could be added if you don't want to add textures so we could at least color our floors and walls. -

cmopatrick MergedThis would be a nice touch, though I wouldn't want it to be done before more important things like increasing talents, drop ship slots, or even making a rifle sight with a cross hair instead of just zooming the frame (not that that frustrates me...).

lyubov Mergedjust 1 tiny thing and a bit of essence of game. But is there a chance for a wallpaper option? between the choices of durability versus looks many choose durable concrete. but i like the way my medieval keep looks like and don't want to keep repairing it after every storm. can i have wallpaper to give ugly concrete the look of any other material and translucence in case of glass but keep the durability of underbuilds? or at least just looks, cos basic construction says, firstly walls, then drywall then wallpaper for looks. please.

VexFor concrete there could for example be ingredients to mix in to the concrete, when crafting it, to make it have different colors. Iron oxide for example.

Kylla MergedI would like the ability to paint the structure that I have built. Whether it be the interior or the exterior, or give a colorful tint to the glass windows. Something that will provide my base more personalization.

Matu MergedSometimes i want to use a resistant wall for storms but on the inside face of the wall i want to have brick or wood design, it would be nice to apply a layer for it to change texture or have a tiling system to apply both indoors and outdoors to certain types of walls (could be to concrete and brick walls)

Tamerlan08_1 MergedI understand that it is wild to add features to a survival game that really turn the game into a construction simulator, but it would not be bad to add the ability to plaster the walls in the middle from the side where there are beams that spoil the entire entourage of the house. I built a not bad "Hi-tech" house from concrete, but the damn steel beams of the concrete walls spoil everything and the dark color makes it look like a "bunker". I would like to add the ability to plaster the walls from the inside to change the texture of the wall (for example, treated wood in the middle of the house and concrete on the outside), also paint the walls and floor just to give the walls a more beautiful color, and paint the houses in white, black, pink or other colors. This would add the ability to build houses on a new level and make them more pleasant to look at so that it would be more pleasant to be in them and nice to look at them from the outside.
