  Chickens can't climb ramps or stairs, and there's no way to pick them up. Please implement one or both of these features, so that chickens can follow you up ramps back to their food/water/coop and/or you can pick them up if they wander down a ramp or stairs and carry them back.

  Not being able to manipulate chickens or sheeps physical position easily is lacking. Take the game raft which made it simple.
  
  Just allow us to pickup and move our animals. Also the ability to control other owners animals.

  Two part suggestion:
  
  1 - In Open World, when my friend isn't online, his tamed horse sometimes gets stuck in walls or he forgets to put him on wander, would be cool if atleast the owner of the open world could move or help control the animal if the person who tamed it is offline.
  
  2 - I have a cat, it is somehow ALWAYS going under the house and getting stuck, I have to tear down parts of the floor and walls and even though he his on follow, he still glitches out and wont follow me to his food bowl. Would be cool if there was a way for you to pick them up and move them easily or maybe give them an UNSTUCK option that will spawn them back over by their food or bed.

  I'd love to be able to pick up chickens to move them around easier.
  
  Also would be great if, while holding them in hotbar slot, if you fall from a high place, you have reduced fall speed as a reference to Zelda.

  As title states. Sometimes your tame gets stuck and the easiest way to fix that is to be able to pick up a tamed animal. We can already pick up wolf and boar carcasses- why not have the ability to pick up tamed animals?

  We can carry there corpses home, it would make sense to use the cargo slot to be able to pick them up and carry them out of situations that would otherwise cause us to bury them.
  Lost a few wolf tames to scorpions (just lost my frost wolf of like 80 hours to a double scorpion boss spawn)
  this would also help the derpy AI snagging them on every rock and twig requiring some odd positioning to free.
  
  wolves, cats, dogs, chickens ect, to be clear, nothing we couldn't already carry.

  By the time I had it out with him all my chickens were all over the place. Open coop, put chickens on follow and eventually get them all back in. Close coop. So far I am good. Then put chickens back on wander. Never in my life have I ever needed doing so, Picking them up and chucking them back into the coop always did the trick.
  
  Go for a bit of prospecting for a nice bit of ore when all of a sudden I hear a 'cluck'. Chicken still on follow, now at the other end of the map. It will eventually rubberband to a place close to home (or failing that being eaten by a drac) but it will take some doing and given that I have the attention span of a chicken myself I might well forget to put into wander again, just for good measure.
  
  Would also be nice with cats, usually getting them out of a tree involves setting the tree on fire or some other such nonsense (I am not going to ask for a fire engine (yet ;-)

  Same issue here, house has 2 floors, cat gets stuck in walls thinking the food bowl is on the upper floor, while it's actually downstairs -_- It's painful to watch. Perhaps some AI tweaking would not hurt as well, but simple pickling them up would solve a lot of my pet problems.

  I would love to be able to pick up chickens and haul them. I put my 2 chickens on follow and led them from a base in the south end of the map, north through the desert and halfway up into the riverlands! It took hours!
  
  I know I could have just killed them and ordered more from the workshop but I just wanted to see if it could be done. Well, it can. Most of the way though, I kept asking, why can't I just pick these things up?! Same is true for my little pet dog, why can't I pick him up and ride with him on my mount?

  Given these are both small animals, there should be a way to pick up chickens and cats. These animals have the worst habit of falling through the stage, or finding ways over rails and out windows. Being able to just pick them up, even if just your "bulky" item spot would be great.

  It would be nice to carry your pet when it its walking around too much especially when the follow option is hard to initiate when the pet is so small that it goes to small spaces in the base and got stuck.
  
  It is also nice to show off some pet when playing with friends especially when the update about the breeding and variant skin colour comes around.
  
  It also doesn't make sense when a bigger dead body of animal (wolves, boar and etc.) can get carried but not a live cat or dog that has a smaller build than wolves and boar.

  I've had a number of occasions where pets stand in the doorway of my house, and I can't leave. I've started adding back doors just to have an exit. Can we get the ability to push pets just enough to get past them?

  Chickens, cats, dogs, maybe some juvenile livestock. It can be tricky to get some to Follow you where they need to go on your base. To that end, add an ability to carry a Live small/juvenile animal and drop it in front of you. This could be especially useful for Chicks and Chickens, they tend to move slow on Follow.

  it is frustrating how often pets will block doors or ladders, entrances, exits, benches, their own feeding troughs, they will block anything and everything they possibly can, including each other.
  
  Please either disable collisions with pets entirely or let the player push them out of the way instead of tamed animals blocking player movement.
  
  It would also be awesome if we could pick up dogs/cats and carry them around, tho that is much lower priority/importance.

  I would like it if you could pick up juvenile animals because its a little bit annoying to have to manuver them around obstacles and when you pick them up it should use your heavy gear slot

  It would be nice to be able to pick up the smaller animals to reposition them in game. Especially when they bug out and try to get outside for food/water when the bowl is full and they are assigned to only certain bowls.
