Chicken Coops show as "unreachable", even when built on flat wood / stone / concrete etc. areas. Chickens will also not follow the player up simple ramps or stairs and remain stuck below.

Yup, they walk inside but are not considered as using it. They still lay eggs though, only they just randomly lay them on the floor.
ALSO the chickens jump on the top of the watering stuff, and when they do so they are not able to actually drink from them and just stay stuck on top of the water until they die from thirst... So sad u.u
