[Suggestion] Dogs are too Slow
Dogs are too slow basically making it unusable when traveling around on mount or even by foot when running. Would like to have it for guard and hunting.
Thanks!

I agree, I tried taking him out with me, and I had to stop all the time and wait for it or go get it because it's trapped. after that, I never took the dog with me -

Kodie CollingsIf you just run through terrain on your mount, and your pet is left behind it basically spawns in when you enter combat.
For guard mode, set it to wander/ aggressive near your base or the desired location and it will kill anything that comes near. -

Angel MartinezI’ve tried this many times and it is not respawning next to me. Worst it’s been killed twice now when I’ve tried that because i left too far behind and was attacked by several animals. A good example of somewhat decent following is the baby moa. Seems to be able to get through some rough terrain and with a speed that can catch you up quickly. On top of that the dog will start rolling in the ground when i expect it to be following me. Making it really difficult to use other than around the base and just a decorative figure.

SykotekHad 2 wolves with me. was running through forest. ended up being far ahead of them. ran into a bear ended up having to fight and kill the bear. after several side shuffles and killing it, the wolves slowly caught up and then just sat there. they were set to follow and aggressive so was no teleport or anything. didn't bother with them no more after that sent them to wander at the base and that was the end of them pretty much

KevinI've now resorted to just walking and having my horse, bison, and wolf follow me - stopping ever 30 secs to insure they are all still there. It is also annoying that they all try to stand on top of each other. And once I stop, my wolf even sometimes gets stuck under the bison and can't wander until I make the bison move away. At least have some pet pathing for solo players as that shouldn't impact multiplayer performance. At least implement per animal type follow distances. If the horse stays back 3 meters, and the bison 4 meters, and the wolf 5 meters, then they could do a simple "conga line" and I could better guide them through terrain.
