[Crash] Prometheus Open World Friend Joining my world Crashes with overstack UE4 issue
I can load and play in my Prometheus Open world, but my son can't join me. He gets a UE4 crash just as he loads in and it almost finish loading. It appears to be just for my world as I can join his and he can join other worlds. Just my world he crashes when Joining
Please help, we been wanting to play the Null Sectors missions together for weeks now and just can't get him into my world.
I completed updated all computers. I even loaded up on another computer and son logged into another computer. He crashed the same. So, its related to the his character and my Open world. Its not computer or software related. Seems to be something with how his character is set to load into my world and my save.
Please help.

Ok my son made a new character and it immediately crashed on trying to enter game. I recreated a crash by placing a beam behind a machine that allowed to be placed but it was actually colliding. Others reported on Steam chat they fixed it by removing deployable stuff until friend could log in...that will not be a good fix for me unless I move the entire base and rebuild.
Hoping to provide enough information for the Devs to track down and fix this...as I really want to play the null sector with my son. -

YennWe're having a problem with joining a friend's Styx open world game (where we played the better part of last weekend without issues). It crashes on the "Preparing geometry" screen (only the person joining crashes). The issue first came up in the morning on Tuesday (November12). We don't use any mods.
I have tried both DX11 and DX12 (though mainly DX11), verified the game files, updated drivers and Windows, even reinstalled the game.. all with no luck. I don't think it's about my computer specifically since two other players are having the exact same issue. Only the host can get into his open world but no one else can join. We can all join a new game together with no issues.
My specs are:
Intel i7-12700K ~3.6GHz
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10GB (556.14 driver)
16GB RAM
Windows 11 Home 64-bit, OS Build 26100.2314
Game is installed on an 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD with plenty of spare room.
(but the same issue happened on the previous driver version and the prior windows build) -

KevinOk I was able to fix it. There is corrupted spot in my base that if a wall or floor is placed there it crashes me, once removed my son was able to log back in. Also it seems my Dogs and cat tries to path to the bad spot. I removed all the parts from the area and my son was able to log in.
I can't seem to fix the spot at all as any attempt to remove and replace all the parts around results in the same issue repeating. I was successfully repeat the bug and crash.
