[Bug] Ashlands: Retrieval cant complete objectives
I cant interact with the notes in the lost outpost and my signal strength never gets higher than 98%, even with a trail beacon on top of the outpost. Even after picking up the documents and selecting 'Read' nothing happens in game. This is on a private server updated to 2.2.28.129531.

I'm having a problem with the first Null Sector mission as well, which seems like it may be the same: it appears that I cannot complete the mission.
I've found the research base and placed connected trail beacons right up to immediately underneath the base itself, but the signal strength does not go above 99%. (I believe it *may* have gone to 100% when I first got to the base, but I saved and re-loaded the game very soon after I found it, and I think it may have reverted to 99% after that... I *do* have the "Find out what happened to the research team" mission goal (unchecked) on my mission goals display.)
Checking a mission walkthrough on the internet, it appears there was supposed to be a base defense against several Stonejaws, which never appeared, and an "Abandoned Audio Log" item, which does not appear to exist in the base, even after multiple extensive searches. -

Douglas Hoover(continuation of previous):
Given that I've been playing this mission for rather longer than *many entire other games* that I've played, the fact that I'll probably have to re-start the mission is... *rather frustrating*, to say the least... but it will go *much* quicker next time, as most of the extreme amount of time was setting up a largish well-supplied forward base near the entrance to Null Sector. (Also, the fact that I enjoyed almost every minute of it is a true testament to *how much I love this game*!)
It's also entirely possible that I've been playing the mission for so long that I even ran out the (72 hour, I think?!) mission timer on it, if it had had one. (I didn't think mission timers applied to open-world missions, and I *am* playing this in open-world mode, but maybe it expired?)
If there is any way this mission can be salvaged so I don't have to re-start it, and you could get back to me within a week, I'd really appreciate it, but I *really* don't expect you to. -

Douglas HooverFollowing up on my previous comments from March 28, I re-started (and have now completed) the Ashlands mission, and I believe I've figured out the nature of the problem(s) at hand much better; hopefully you folks will find it helpful in remedying them. There are in fact three different problems at hand, here, all minor(?):
1) The problem experienced by the original poster where they could not interact with the notes in the base; I did *not* experience this, they worked just fine, me.

2) Upon saving and re-loading the game *between* finding the base (and checking off the "find the base" goal in the goals list) and finding the Audio Log in the locker (and completing the mission), my goals display became... confusing, which I believe the original poster likely experienced as well. The goal to find the base *remained checked off* in the display (and in the game logic, as I was able to complete the mission), but upon re-load, the "Find the base" goal "uncollapsed" (opened up) again, which I believe is entirely unintended. At this point, the "Signal strength" line (though now displayed again) is no longer updated (no doubt, since the goal is completed), but the fact that it is displayed at less than 100% might lead people to believe that the goal hasn't been checked off. I believe it's just a very minor display glitch caused by the goals display not completely restoring its state correctly upon reload, but combined with the third problem, it looked much bigger. -

Douglas Hoover...
3) And now the actual problem that kept me from completing this epic 10's-of-hours-long mission: user error. :) There *was* no actual blocking bug, it was simply the fact that the lockers in the bedrooms in the base consist of *2* lockers each, not one, and I completely missed this fact. They are very tall and thin, and I expected each one to be a single container... and in every case (I checked each locker at least four times, being *sure* there had to be something there!), I opened the one of the two that did *not* contain the Audio Log that triggers mission completion. (The lockers do actually highlight correctly, indicating you are only opening the left or the right half, but it's pretty easy to miss, especially if you don't expect it.)
So this is *not* actually a bug, but it's still... something you *might* want to change anyway? It's a bit tricky, in a bad way, and did cause me to spend hours looking around for how to end the mission, since I don't use walkthroughs.
