[Suggestion] Pistols and Spears (+throwing) used together with the Shields (single hand holding)
Please add an ability for Shields to be used together with the Pistols and Spears.
Pistols are definitely used with shields in RL. And Spears were also used together with shields in the past (Romans).
Your Titan shield already have a notch created directly for the Spear holder. At least it looks like that.
Of course one handed Spear or Throwing Spear should have lovered Aim, same goes with the precision of the Pistol shot only with the single hand.
Idea ->
When player ues a Pistol or Spear this would be used normaly as it is now used. But if player will have a Shield on his Back, then by pressing a button Might be a right click, i dunno if it is a good idea or not, might be a middle click which would trigger a new activity defending with shield together while using a weapon. only when triggered player's awatar would swich to single handed use of pistol or spear (of course the throwing spears also, which idiot would throw a spear with both hands?
Same goes with throwing knives etc.

Ok so here is my idea specific to guns.
Pistols and even the SMG can be used one handed and two handed when aiming down sights. but if equipped with a shield it disable the aim down sight for the bringing up of the shield. This would allow for some gun-fu at the cost of accuracy and probably a longer reload time (during which if the shield is used the reload animation is reset) This allows the weaker guns to still have a use in late game as well as be super useful in boss fights (even if it will draw out the fight longer).
Heck there can even be some shield alterations that work with it now

MrChan123 MergedShould be able to wield the spear and shield together spartan style, even if you have to unlock a talent to combo it together. thought this would be an option as a few of the spear talents even have a shield on the icon.

Thomas Mergedhave a slot for the shield. So you can use it, WITH a one handed weapon. It seems kind of pointless to arm yourself with a shield and not even be able to bash with it. let alone use another weapon, with it. It honestly makes the shield, virtually useless. you can block with some weapons. why would you especially use a shield, that has no offensive capabilities. I'm not trying to sound critical. it's simply being honest.

Edymnion MergedAgreed. I saw that the shield was it's own active thing and that I'd have to manually switch between it and a weapon, and went "Whelp, never using a shield again".

NiteDragon MergedSpears should be usable with the shield. The fact you cannot block while using the shield kills its viability. The Wound skill should be put closer to the damage portion of the tree, the fact I have to go down a portion of the Javelin section wasting points is ridiculous. The spears should have a base skill that they are one handed if a shield is in the special slot, but if it isn't THEN the spear becomes 2 handed and deals 20% more damage. Or simply have the shields that are directly connected to their respective shields (Bone, Steel, Carbon, Composite) be one handed spears the rest stay the same as 2 handed. Anything honestly, I just want to be able to block quarrites with my actual weapon rather than having to switch weapons first.
