[Suggestion] Eggs from Chickens
If chickens only lay an egg a day, and the eggs only stay good for 60 min, then eggs should last a lot longer or turn up the frequency of egg laying. These are supposed to be lab chickens, so why wasnt the gene for egg laying modified?

if eggs are not washed and remain with the original coating from the chicken, it stays fresh for longer than the ones you buy from supermarkets that are washed and almost bleached. the coating from the hen is a natural barrier for the eggs to remain edible for a long time. so logically it should remain in it`s natural preservation time for a while. however, once cracked, cooked, fried, boiled... they should have a lower lasting time than the egg itself
