[Suggestion] Additional 'Pouch' options to make
Could we please have a few more Pouch/bag options to make at the textile bench?
Help keep the inventory tidy for us OCD people.
1/ Ammo Pouch: maybe 4-6 slots, only accepts bullets or S/G Shells, contents are visible/available for the reloading mechanic.
2/ Quiver: 4-6 slots, only accepts arrows/bolts, contents are visible/available for the reloading mechanic.
Advanced Bag types:
4/ Tool Bag: 4-6-12 slots, only accepts Tools (pick, shovel, wire tool, etc).
3/ Lunch Bag: 4-6 slots, only accepts food/drink items.
New mechanic for Advanced Bags: (add the current medical supplies bag to this category)
Bag can be placed in the Hot-Bar. Select the bag with the Hot-Bar key, R/Click to open the bag Pop-Up showing the tools/foods/medical supplies inside, select the Item you want, that Item appears overlaid on the Tool Bag icon in the Hot-Bar and that tool/item is in your hand. L/Click to use the Item as normal, R/Click again to bring up the pop-up to change Item.

Why is it that the Extra Space skill doesn't work for pouches? I mean sure its not a 'deployable' but if someone puts the skills into learning how to stuff junk into things wouldn't make sense that pouches fall into that category?
P.S. If an ammo pouch is made then please let the pouch feed into the ammo count.
P.P.S. Don't put food in a pouch if you have the cooking backpack the spoilage buff doesn't carry over. -

ArielThis would be AMAZING, particularly for the tools and food. I especially like the idea of having it overlaid on the bag icon in the hotbar.
Personally, I like to have a pouch that I store stuff in for emergencies - basic walls and floors, a bed, a campfire and some ladders in case I need to go climbing somewhere. Ideally a tent will come to the game (I know there's a thread, I upvoted) but if not / until then, I'd love a Builder's Pack that has just one or two more slots, with the intention that we'd load up our short term shelters in there. Right now I have to carry two when I go mining. I always somehow feel like I'm 1-2 slots short on storage in the current pouch for this kind of use. Same with tools, I have to keep two tool pouches on me because of all the fun gadgets like the electric and water tool, the scanners, etc.
Also, incentives to use them: "Insulated Food Bag" could make food decay slower, for example. Maybe a "Efficient Packing" buff that helps with encumbrance? -

AriDon't freak out. The game's inventory math is already broken, so why would you need anything else?

DystroI think they first have to fix the current inventory, when you click "sort" the pouches always weight ZERO so you can carry tons and still not being encumbered...

FrancisI would love if the weapons could also pull the ammo from these bags, and if when crafting it also could use the items in the bags. currently i have a pouch with all the thing s to make something but i have to move them all into my main inventory just to craft.

LianailThe special pouches should extend the character's talents to the contents. Existing pouches do not. Example: Food in lunch bag should allow "Naturally Preserved" talent to function on it's contents.

zanlok❤️🔥 this! additional thoughts:
* "Quiver" - Tier 2 (arrows only)
* "Lunch Bag" - Tier 2 (cooked food only)
* "Bandolier" - Tier 3 (advanced textiles, ammo only)
* "Pioneer Pack" - Tier 3 (advanced textiles - pick/axe/hammer)
* "Medium Pouch" - Tier 3 (advanced textiles - 15 item stacks storage slots)
* "Tool Belt" - Tier 5 (pipe/electric/oil only)
Addition: Ability to consolidate empty small pouch into a Medium Pouch would also be nice. The option to View Inventory wouldn't be there, just like how it works when a pouch is in a container; it has to be brought into personal backpack space first.
Hotbar area ideas from OP would be great! Well written. Currently active item within the bag should show for immediate use. -

Gportal_bobif they add the food bag i hope they make it work with your talents to reduce spoil rates. putting food in bags now makes your talent time drop off.

PhilosopherI would definitely be a fan of an ammo belt and quiver so the ammo is not in my inventory. Honestly, anybody involved in the playing or creating of games like these knows how annoying the lack of ammo management is, and how frequently there is a desire for inventory slot locking (like storage broadcasting and naming and recipe pinning, some of the core QoL features every survival game must have).
So, ammo belt, quiver, maybe being able to name the pouches and satchels. And make the farmer's satchel large enough to fit one stack of each available seed. By now there are so many seeds they don't all fit any more.
