[Suggestion] Fix the broken non-flat terrain interactions
This game has so much potential, but there is one flaw that negates all the positives of this game. You cannot climb, jump, or move across hills, rocks, and any non-level surface. IT's so incredibly glitchy. Want to jump up on a little rocks that's knee high? get ready to float around and get knocked around while your character is trying to sort out the interaction. Want to walk down a ramp that you built with building peieces? Get ready to fall down instead and break your bones. Need to mine an ore that's just out of reach? Get ready to spend 5 minutes sliding up and down, in and out of the terrain.
I would expect this level of stupidity in a game produced 25 years ago. What on earth were the devs thinking when deciding on how to handle character-terrain interactions?
I have 58 hours in the game, and I think I'm completely done with the game now because of this fatal flaw. I would probably sink 1000 hours in otherwise.

The problem is as is stated. You can get stuck on ground that is ever so slightly uneven. A small rock can stop you from moving forward. And this isn't a new thing. You have that many hours, then you remember when the saplings used to be physical obstacles. You couldn't move in the forest biomes without constantly pulling up trees, and forget about riding anywhere. This problem with slopes is on a similar level, but worse in a lot of cases. My favorite terrain based nastiness are the crevasses in the snow biomes that are invisible until you fall into one, then almost impossible to get out of because even though they adjusted the shape of them at the ends to be more level with the rest of the ground, there's that *little* bit of a difference in height... and it traps you until you get lucky and stick to something enough to jump a second time. -

RobertI found that playing the game solo on a dedicated server works pretty well and is not an issue. When we get more people to join the server (3 or more players), it becomes a pretty noticeable issue. It gets even worse if all of the players are not in the same area. For example, if we are spread out throughout the entire map, our movements get very laggy/choppy in the game... then it gets even worse once we have about 5 mounts and 800+ building pieces deployed. We tried renting servers from a few advertised vendors, but they all behave about the same. I am excited to try playing with the new autosave increase fix, but it feels like we had issues that did not line up with the 1 minute save intervals. Its a really strange issue because playing solo I can run/jump up some hills with ease... then we get a group of players on the same save and it goes to crap really quickly.

YanichiI Recently got this game with my friends and I love it, though there is this exact problem nagging at me every minute I play. I Would enjoy the game way more if the player movement on terrain would be fixed. Hard to drop down from slight cliffs, jagged movement on rocks or hillsides. Getting stuck between rocks not being able to escape without using "Unstuck".
I feel like this is such an important part of the game and should be prioritized along with player and animal animations to make the already amazing game actually "feel" good to play. -
