[Bug] Lost Legendary Weapons

  My son and i are playing on the new map now, he brought his legendary pistol, and a few other over to this map from the last. Today he sent the pistol back up to put a mod on it, and it just disappeared. When he goes to the load out to see where his legendary weapons are at, it is saying they are all still on the last map we were playing on. when we log on to that map, they are not there. So his pistol is just gone, and he is afraid to send anything else back up because he will most likely lose it. What do we do to fix this?

  Hi, this is an unfortunate known issue that occassionally happens. Can you give me some more information so I can pass it onto the devs?
  Are you hosting or on a dedicated server, or is someone else hosting the game?
  Are there multiple people on the server when you're returning to space, or are you playing solo?

  I lost both my fully upgraded armature and flamethrower by putting them in pods. I put them each in different pods and it said item received and they are no longer on the planet or workshop.

  Sent my Kinetic rifle with 3 upgrades back in a drop pod so I could add the final upgrade and it has not reappeared in the Bio-lab. Still showing as deployed on the Loadout but is gone from my inventory.
  Relatively new to the game so did not realise I couldn't retrieve Loadouts deirectly if they are not insured, but I have used the drop pod to return gear previously and had no issues.

  I just had this happen yesterday, Loadout says the gun is still on the planet, but it is just gone

  i played on my friend's world to finish the olympus mission. We finished the mission and i logged off. As i go online again to check the other world and to use my weapons. THEY'RE ALL MISSING ITS LIKE I DID'NT PLAY THE MISSION AT ALL. I GO BACK TO MY FRIEND'S WORLD TO CHECK IT. THE BOSS WOUND STILL THERE BUT THE WEAPONS AND EXOTICS AND OTHER STUFF ARE ALL GONE!!! I WANT IT BACK COZ I GRINDED IT AND IT ALREADY COST ME TIME AND EFFORT. THIS IS SO DISAPPOINTING KNOWING I GRINDED IT FOR A LONG GOOD HOURS JUST TO DISAPPEAR, AND BTW AS YOU CAN SEE THERE I TRIED TO LOOK FOR IT ON MY STEAM CLOUD SAVE NOTHING IS THERE ALL THE TIME I GRINDED JUST WENT FOR NOTHING.

  Hello,
  During a session in Open World on Olympus, I used an Orbital Exchange Pod to send two items back to orbit at the same time:
  
  a Workshop Repair Kit
  
  a NIGHT INARIS Pickaxe
  
  The Workshop Repair Kit returned correctly to my workshop inventory, but the NIGHT INARIS Pickaxe never came back.
  
  What are the procedures to follow to recover this item?

  Since this issue is no longer happening for the first time, but now occurs on almost every map, I feel compelled to report it and bring attention to the situation.
  
  First of all, players spend a lot of time in the game collecting Exotics in order to order items from orbit.
  
  I tried to retrieve items from orbit, but they simply don’t appear in the capsule for me. I even sent the capsule to a different location and checked inside the ship – without success. Even in the capsule coming down from orbit, nothing arrives for me.
  
  When I look at the orbital extraction system, the items are shown on my map, yet I cannot find them anywhere.
  
  Could you please tell me exactly where I should be looking OR help me with this bug.

  In Open World As Character named Grant. Sent up Frontier Revolver twice upgraded (Owned by a different character named Ms.Gunther also mine). Done to upgrade with newly earned Bio Mass. Sent up in pod- and it did not show up in Load out, shows as still down on planet, loadout not insured. around 12:40-12:50 on 3/8/2026

  Bug that makes you lose items! i made a video showing it happen, before we caught this we lost a few rockets full of workshop items that took 100's of hours to get. then i saw it happen and started force closing the game before it saved so i could get the items i show in this video back but all the items before this are gone! including weapons that require us to start new games to get again. the bug is still active after a few days and reloading game. please share to help others see this before items are lost. https://youtu.be/h_K2ZX1S2Go?si=HNU6lvskN41QJ3qr

  My legendary weapon has dissapeared too :( i bought mine, put the 4 upgrades on it, and when i put it in my 1, server crashed. Then i hadent it in my inventory either in the pod or workshop but it appears in my world but dissapeared... So sad T_T Thasnks for the support
  
  Edit: My friend in that map lost his weapon also, a couple of minutes after me

  I was doing the "Fallout" operation in Elysium and I died.
  
  But my items didn't stay at the location of my death, nor was a death marker created; the items simply disappeared. I lost several items crafted at workbenches, purchased at the workshop, and even Legendary items!
  
  Is there any way to return to a save point in the game, before the death occurred?

  I was on my brother's world and obtained a javelin launcher. I created a new character so I could play around with it and when I went to leave his world I sent it back up on my new character and now it is stuck along with some other things. It was not insured. Is there anyway of retrieving my launcher?

  I'm playing single player on Olympus. I sent my kinetic rifle and armature back on the same pod. Now only the armature shows up in the orbital.
  
  Is there a way to get my kinetic rifle without having to buy it and the upgrades again?

  On our self-hosted server, with 2–3 players each time, the entire inventory disappears for both of us.
  If you need any more information, please let us know, because we don't want to spend hundreds of hours in the game only to end up saying, “Oh well, whatever.”
