[Suggestion] T5 tech to weather-proof lower-tier buildings
I understand the importance of lower-tier buildings being vulnerable to the elements early on, as it gives you an incentive to tech up into stronger things. But once you're advanced enough, all you see are concrete buildings, and they can get boring to look at :( I love the look of all the buildings frankly, and it would be cool to have a way to make them viable again later on!
How to implement it? Use the polymerizer! It can have a second feature to it whose interface would look similar to how the salt bench works. You load the left slot with synthetics or compounds, and you put your building materials in the right slow. Press the button, and bam! Now your building pieces have a modifier on them that makes them resistant to Tier-7 storms. This system would also create incentives to keep manufacturing refined oil and the derivatives. Plus, I love the idea of seeing r/Icarus filed with high tech thatch and wood mansions!

I would love to see something like this but I think it should require purple exotics so it is a bit harder to make and to give them another use. My suggestion, which isn't up yet, was to add a recipe to building pieces that includes a material you make at the chemistry bench using exotics.
I like the idea of using the polymerizer though. Maybe it could require oil and exotics? -

MitchellYes some way to beautify the concrete please! Any of the following would be awesome:
1. Upgrade lower tiered types so you can have their aesthetics (as the original suggestion)
2. Allow using the model for other building types so a concrete building can look like something else (as the previous commenter suggested)
3. Allow interior wood walls to snap to the inside of concrete walls; not a complete solution since the outside would be unchanged, but at least the inside of the house will be less ugly
4. Paint! Some sort of paint tool to just change the colour. Even if it only worked on concrete. Or if it worked on everything, then this would be great with #3. -

bitrotWas going to ask for a T5 glass, i.e. toughened/tempered/ballistic glass, to survive T6 storms. But this would cover it.
