[Suggestion] Apiary (Beehive Greenhouse Bonus)
I see no reason why if you build an enclosed area the bee's cannot provide benefit to the whole building. The pairing of the greenhouse bonus when a beehive is present could be used to turn the greenhouse into an Apiary further increasing yield. Perhaps this could even be a way to generate new queens.

I don't see them giving us a method for free queens; we're supposed to go find them, in the world ;)
While it makes sense that a bonus for this or other devices could apply to the entire interior space, this method is a problem when trying to determine what counts as "inside" 4 walls and a roof, and sheltered. This has a performance cost during every storm, figuring out what should take damage from not being sheltered. The calculation fails (or has a hidden limit) for Very Large rooms over about 9 squares in any direction from the deployed item, so players are recommended to break up large interior spaces with walls, so that no room is "too large."
Beehive using a technical mechanic of a range sphere around it is simpler, a lower performance cost that doesn't care about walls or rooms. (Probably the other way around: crop plot looking for a beehive in range.) -
