[Bug] No shelter bug
me and my friend have built an entire enclosed stone house, with multiple layers and ceilings.
yet a lot of our benches say no shelter one of our bench becomes sheltered then unsheltered (keeps switching between shelter/nonsheltered) we have double checked our home to make sure we didnt forget support beam/foundation. we have windows on everything and we're confused on why certain spots in our house are unsheltered

Just had the same problem in Styx - OpenWorld in the SW corner of I6. I completed the concrete house. Double checked the integrity etc. Nothing left to revisit. Deployables placed within the house; random locations, random elevations (1st floor, 2nd floor etc.) are receiving the "Unsheltered" status. This shows immediately or it might flicker in and out.
Also, if I stand in the various locations within the concrete house during storms, I'll get the storm exposure UI to appear.
This is concerning. Even though it's a one off. When you relocate from one house to another, as I was doing in this case. moved all items from old house into cupboards placed in the new house. Only to find out the new house appears to be bugged :(
Would really appreciate support as this is taking place in an Open World, but understand it's tough to address every bug.
Thanks! -

Elissa - Producer AdminHi there, this is a known issue that we're looking into on a case by case basis. Please try picking up the benches and placing them back down if they are unsheltered - this should help. Sometimes rejoining the world will break the shelter, but we are looking into this issue.

Kristin FountainANy of my shelters bigger than a 6 x 6 base will not generate shelter, As long as my benches are in the 6 x 6 area they say shelter. But once I place it outside of a 6 x6 area then I get no shelter. I have noticed this on my open world and outposts. I have built in multiple places to test this across the open world but to no avail.

VikingSame bug, on prometheus map, open world. Full stone house, the workbench doesn't work as it's "no shelter" and the weather affects me inside the house

NarsosLooks like this is still not fixed, but I found a work around in my case. It appears to be the stone floor tiles specifically. I built a 5x5 stone structure. Some things like the stone furnace, cooking stations, bed, crafting table all worked fine. But I got the No Shelter message for my Textile Bench, Concrete Furnace, and Cement Mixer on my bottom floor. My 2nd floor made of interior wood flooring I could place them just fine. So after some experimentation I found that the items do not get the "No shelter" message on the bare stone foundation, wood, or interior wood floor tiles, but do on the stone floor tiles. I don't have access to anything else yet.

MartinSame bug, just built a big house on Prometheus and several deployables go in and out of shelter constantly even though Im not changing anything.
If I open the crafting interface it will say "Requires shelter" for a few seconds, then it works for a few seconds, then "Requires shelter" appears again. I recorded a clip of this happening but I cant upload video here it seems. -

Pickup and placing again does not helping, half ceiling and place it over the benches, does not help anymore too. -

Elissa - Producer Adminhttps://icarus.featureupvote.com/suggestions/359252/comment/767572#comment767572 - You have a HUGE base. Things will only be sheltered in a small area - try placing some more interior walls around in your open space inside.

Are you aware, or did you take into account, that you need a very large base to fit all the crafting stations? On top of the cooking stations and all the other stuff — not to mention all the furniture needed to increase the bonus?
What am I supposed to do here? Put up a ton of walls and then walk from aisle to aisle like I’m in Walmart? Or build a multi-story house just to fit everything in, and then constantly run up and down? At that point I’m spending more time walking than actually playing.
Sorry, but if the base is enclosed, then everything inside it should also be protected. -
