Canteens will not refill with water AT ALL

  I don't have a screen recording, but it won't do any good. I drink from the lake, and it no longer refills. I've emptied the container, destroyed and remade the container, left the mission and started a new mission several times, verified files, and I've reinstalled the game several times. My container never fills with water, and my thirst continues to decrease. I can't play the game like this.

  Have you tried putting it into your hotbar and filling it up?
